On the Floor
You didn't break my heart
When you said goodbye
You're starting a new life
And I'm left with mine
When you opened that door
You swept everything away
And it's still there
On the floor
Photographs
Bills and receipts
Accumulated trash
That we don't need
When you opened that door
It all fell at my feet
And it's still there
On the floor
Who's going to clean this up
Decide what to keep
Is one box big enough
To hold what we don't need
Sunlight shines
Through my back door
Days turn to nights
And the moon is full
Since you left
I haven't closed that door
Now moonlight dances
On the floor

Fitz and the Tantrums, Duffy, and more. ... more
