These songs were recorded between May 1982 and August 1984 at Accusonic Studio in Toronto. All analog, direct to tape, live off the floor, no overdubs. Accusonic was located at 299 Queen Street West in Toronto, now the home of MuchMusic.
The master tapes resurfaced in late 2002 during the recording of Not An Orange, shortly before the start up of Watersland Studio. Early in 2004 the tapes were converted to digital and mastered by Paul Reimens at Grant Avenue Studios in Hamilton Ontario.

Watersland started in the late '70s playing an eclectic mix of mostly originals, with some blues country, R&B. and MoTown. After playing a few bar gigs they decided to become a basement band. In 2006 Marg (vocals) and Dorothy (keys) joined and focus moved to finding 'good' songs from the 50s to the 2000's; Janiva Magness, Yvonne Moore, Grace Potter.
